My boyfriend and I both decided we should take a train ride downtown. We had the day off from work and thought it would be good to get outside for a little while instead of staying couped up in the house. I love how when you go to certain places there are people passing out free items and promotional materials. The first person was passing out free diabetic supplies which we actually appreciated because that was something he could give to his mom. She likes sampling different products, especially  ones that pertain to her diabetes to see if there's something she may like better. The next person was passing out free samples of gum and at the next block a group was passing out a press kit for their band which had one of their recordings. We were especially excited about that because the music they were playing was really good. I hadn't heard anything quite like it before. From what I understand they're considered to be an experimental group. They started off by playing clubs only around the Chicago area but now it seems their popularity is spreading to New York and other cities. We could see why their music was so popular though. Anyways, we had a really good time!
